Program Summary

KBR's Readiness and Sustainment (R&S) division is the Team Behind the Mission®. We deliver mission critical services to the U.S. military and coalition partners around the world. Our key capabilities include base operations; contingency and expeditionary support; next generation asset management; digitally-focused logistics; prepositioned stock; and integrated supply chain management.

Job Summary

KBR is seeking a Technology Architect to serve as a technical advisor for the Readiness & Sustainment (R&S) Business Unit within our Mission Tech organization. This technical advisor will work closely with the Office of the CTO to bring innovative technology solutions to existing and pipeline work throughout the business unit, to include both internal (KBR) and external (partners, commercial technologies, etc.) solutions.

This role serves as the primary link between the R&S Business Unit and the CTO, and will require both broad technical knowledge and hands-on development work.

Preference for this position is to be based near one of our United States office locations with the ability for 10-25% travel.

Roles and Responsibilities

Technology Advancement

  • Work with Program Managers across the R&S Business Unit to identify gaps and opportunities to infuse existing technologies into their operations, with the goals of increasing recompete win probability and/or reducing cost/increasing margin on existing work through technology-enabled efficiencies.

  • Develop and/or modify existing KBR technologies to increase efficiencies across existing R&S work.

  • Track initiative KPIs, technical milestones, risks, resourcing needs, and alignment to larger, Mission Tech Technology Strategy and 2030 objectives.

  • Coordinate with CTO initiative leads (AI, Digital Integration, Mission Engineering, Digital Environment) to ensure cohesive enterprise advancement.

Customer Engagement & Capture Support

  • Work with the R&S growth team to identify technologies to include in proposals submitted for new work, with the goal of increasing the probability of winning (pWin). This will include coordination with the CTO office, assigned Solution Architects, and R&S team members.

  • Provide technical leadership for captures and pursuits.

  • Engage with customers to shape technical requirements, architecture options, and integration pathways.

  • Develop and/or modify existing KBR technologies to increase pWin for recompete or new work.

IR&D Strategy & Technical Review

  • Review R&S IR&D proposals for feasibility, desirability, and strategic impact.

  • Shape IR&D investments to ensure return on investment (ROI) across the company’s portfolio.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research or related field.

  • 12+ years of experience developing or integrating technology solutions for military operations and logistics.

  • Demonstrated expertise in:

    • Operations Research methods and tools

    • Solution development and implementation for highly complex, multi-variate problems

    • Effective communication of complex problems and solutions

  • Proven leadership in problem definition and solutioning.

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly to customers, executives, and non‑technical audiences.

  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to attain Top-Secret / SCI eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Operations Research, Data Science, or related discipline.

  • Experience in one or more mission support domain: Logistics, Supply Chain, Distribution, Facility and Equipment Management, Base Operations Support.

  • Familiarity with MBSE, digital engineering environments, or mission modeling/simulation.

  • Relevant certifications: Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), data science certificate
