The Technical Writer III at Emburse creates and maintains customer-facing documentation, collaborates with teams to ensure content accuracy, and aligns messaging with brand guidelines to enhance customer experience.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, user-focused Technical Writer to join the Product Marketing organization at Emburse. In this role, you will craft clear, concise, and accurate customer education content that supports our go-to-market initiatives and enhances the customer experience. You will collaborate closely with product marketing managers, product managers, and other cross-functional teams to produce help center articles, release notes, product guides, and other customer-facing materials that align with our editorial and brand guidelines.
This role bridges technical accuracy with brand voice, ensuring our content not only informs but also reinforces the Emburse brand promise.
What you will do :
- Write, edit, and maintain customer-facing documentation in line with the Emburse Technical Documentation Style Guide and Brand Guidelines
- Develop content that supports product launches, feature enhancements, and adoption campaigns
- Partner with product marketing managers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to validate technical accuracy and align messaging with market positioning
- Create step-by-step instructions, product overviews, and release notes that are accurate, easy to follow, and on-brand
- Ensure all documentation work items in Jira meet Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) standards before publication
- Capture and edit branded product screenshots and visuals that enhance understanding and engagement.
- Apply Global English best practices to make content accessible to our global audience
- Maintain consistency in terminology, product naming, and UI references across all deliverables
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify content gaps and proactively recommend updates or new materials
- Publish content to the appropriate help centers and confirm accessibility for the intended audience
What we are looking for : Required
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably within SaaS, enterprise software, or a product marketing environment
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-focused content
- Proficiency with authoring and publishing tools such as Zendesk Guide and Confluence
- Experience using Jira or other project management tools to track documentation work
- Strong editing skills with a keen eye for grammar, tone, and style
- Experience working in agile development and marketing workflows
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
What we are looking for : Preferred
- Experience producing release notes and product documentation that support marketing launches
- Familiarity with Emburse products or similar expense, travel, or payments platforms
- Basic skills in screenshot capture, annotation, and visual optimization for brand compliance
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
