Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Training Specialist to join our team. This role is vital to ensuring that all employees, from new hires to seasoned professionals, have the knowledge and skills required to excel in their roles. The Technical Training Specialist will design and deliver comprehensive training programs, including onboarding for new employees, continuing education for existing staff, product training, and leadership development for managers. The trainer will also establish and manage career development paths, certification programs, and maintain certification records within the company's internal system.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Employee Onboarding and Training
    • Design and deliver engaging onboarding programs for all new employees.
    • Provide role-specific training to align new hires with the company’s objectives and culture.
  2. Continuing Education and Professional Development
    • Develop and implement training programs to upskill employees across various departments.
    • Organize regular training sessions on industry best practices, compliance, and emerging trends.
  3. Product and Service Training
    • Create and deliver training programs for new and existing products and services to ensure all employees are proficient in the MSP’s offerings.
    • Collaborate with product teams to stay informed about updates and translate them into training content.
  4. Managerial Training and Best Practices
    • Develop specialized training modules for managers to enhance leadership, communication, and performance management skills.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and support to ensure adherence to company best practices.
  5. Certification Program Development
    • Establish clear certification pathways and training plans for employees to achieve career growth within the company.
    • Design and manage a structured certification program tailored to job roles and levels.
  6. Certification Management
    • Maintain accurate records of employee certifications and training completions using the company’s in-house tool.
    • Monitor expiration dates of certifications and ensure timely renewals.
  7. Program Evaluation and Improvement
    • Measure the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
    • Continuously improve training content and delivery methods based on employee needs and industry trends.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Technical Training Specialist, Training Manager, or similar role, preferably within an MSP or IT services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of IT services, products, and best practices in an MSP environment.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience designing and implementing training programs, including onboarding, product training, and leadership development.
  • Familiarity with certification programs and tools for tracking employee development.
  • Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in training and development (e.g., CPTD, ATD).
  • Technical certifications relevant to the MSP industry (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA, Microsoft).
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
