Job Summary & Responsibilities

Qualifications: 

  • Substantial knowledge of current and upcoming storage technologies and operations
  • Proficient ability to perform concurrent tasks in complex environments and adjusting priorities
  • Ability to communicate and modify approach, language, and style to different audiences
  • Basic experience in organizing resources, establishing priorities, and leading storage initiatives and projects
  • Must have excellent communication skills, writing skills, and the ability to work with team members at all levels
  • Storage and other certifications are preferred, but not required

Requirements: 

  • A minimum of 3 years' progressive experience in a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Assurance, or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • 3-5 years of information storage experience as an engineer/architect. The ideal candidate will have combined experience as a storage architect practitioner, storage consultant. 
  • 1-3 years experience with one or more of the following: NetApp, Dell/EMC storage offerings, PURE, VAST, Qumulo, Hitachi, HPE, IBM, and performance testing
  • Up to 5% domestic travel

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $110,000.00 to $135,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

What is the ATC?


Our Advanced Technology Center (ATC) is like no other testing and research lab. We call it an ecosystem that is front ended by our WWT Platform (Website). It's the place engineers and architects go for exclusive resources, guidance and tools. In the ATC, we provide Labs, Learning Paths, Cyber Range, Proof of Concepts, Lab Hosting Programs, and WWT Research. These offerings are meant for our Customers, Partners, and Internal Employees who need training and education on the latest and greatest solutions across all technology domains.  


What will you be doing?


This role will reside within the Data Center and Cloud ATC Solutions Development team.  This resource will be responsible for evaluating and developing new Labs and Learning content for the ATC portal.  This role will be primarily storage focused, but will work with a wide range of technologies.  The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge and expertise with various Storage vendors (i.e. NetApp, Pure, Dell, HP, etc), as well as a broad level of understanding around other data center technologies such as cloud, hypervisors, server administration, etc.


Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage relationships with OEM partners around Data Center and Cloud technologies
  • Design and Build environments and storage solutions for Labs and Learning content. 
  • Create articles, videos, demonstrations, and labs to educate customers (both internally and externally)
  • Collaborate with team members across ATC Solutions Development to develop solution based educational content. 
  • Further develop ad foster partnerships and relationships within WWT that support WWT's go-to-market strategy around storage solutions. 
  • Present and showcase storage based educational content as needed, including ATC Builder's, Live Lab presentations, etc. 
  • Stay updated on emerging trends through documentation, vendor resources, and industry developments. 
  • Develop scenario based, interactive lab exercises that simulate real-world primary storage applications, focusing on learning objectives and educational goals.
