Technical Recruiter 

College Board Global Strategy and Talent 

Location: This is a fully remote role. Candidates who live near CB offices have the option of being fully remote or hybrid (Tuesday and Wednesday in office).  

Role Type: This is a full-time, term position that will last for 18 months from the start date.

As a Technical Recruiter, you'll have the vital role of bringing in top talent to our engineering and product teams, pivotal areas where we’re currently experiencing promising growth and development. With your expertise, you'll seek out and engage with outstanding individuals, guiding them through a finely honed hiring process that you'll iterate upon in collaboration with our hiring managers. In this role, you will:  

Lead Recruitment for Active Requisitions (90%) 

  • Manage full cycle recruiting for multiple, complex searches, creating innovative sourcing strategies and engagement to bring the best talent to each role  

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing plans, analyzing requirements to create profile and leveraging multiple tactics to build talented, diverse pools 

  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers throughout the recruiting process to ensure we meet their hiring needs and goals  

  • Lead hiring teams in creating effective, evidence-driven, structured interview processes ensuring teams make strong skill-based decisions  

  • Manage pipeline activity and maintain data integrity, and proactively share data-centric updates with internal stakeholders  

  • Drive offer process - including extending offers, negotiations, closing candidates, and generating offer letters  

 

Support Strategic Initiatives and Recruiter Effectiveness (10%) 

  • Lead and assist with various Talent Acquisition related special projects on an ongoing or ad hoc basis  

  • Stay connected to the competitive landscape, including trends in technical recruiting and compensation  

 

About You  

 

Exceptional candidates can effectively speak to:  

  • A minimum of 5+ years of full-cycle corporate recruitment experience; 3 years of technical recruitment experience (REQUIRED) 

  • Significant experience sourcing, engaging, and activating passive candidates for engineering roles 

  • Exceptional ability to communicate and influence stakeholders across a variety of settings; fostering partnerships with internal leadership and executive teams  

  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and project management skills  

  • General knowledge of HR principles, employment, and immigration laws and an ability to handle confidential information with discretion  

  • Experience learning and using Applicant Tracking Systems; Workday preferred  

  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team  

  • The ability to travel 2-4 times a year to College Board offices or on behalf of College Board business.

About Our Process   

  • Application review will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. This role is expected to accept applications for a minimum of 5 business days. 

  • While the hiring process may vary, it generally includes: resume and application submission, recruiter phone/video screen, hiring manager interview, performance exercise such as live coding, a panel interview, a conversation with leadership and reference checks.

  • The hiring range for this role is $80,000–$140,000. 

  • Your exact salary will depend on your location, experience, and how your background compares to others in similar roles at the College Board.
