Manage technical recruiting from sourcing through candidate submission for federal contract hiring, proposals, anticipated awards, recompetes, and talent pipelines. Source and screen IT, cybersecurity, cloud, engineering, and data professionals; assess qualifications, federal contracting experience, clearances, compensation, and availability; maintain ATS records; track recruiting activity; and provide market feedback to hiring teams.
Aretum is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support recruiting across active contract hiring, anticipated awards, and strategic talent pipelines. This role will manage the candidate process from initial sourcing through qualification and submission, proactively identifying talent, conducting candidate screens, and presenting qualified candidates to Recruiting Managers and hiring teams.
Responsibilities- Support full-cycle recruiting across cleared and uncleared government contracting environments, including technical, mission-critical, professional, and non-technical roles.
- Partner with hiring managers and recruiting leadership to understand position requirements, labor categories, clearance needs, and hiring priorities.
- Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs, job boards, referrals, professional networks, and internal databases.
- Build pipelines for active openings, proposals, anticipated awards, incumbent capture, surge needs, and future hiring requirements.
- Screen candidates for relevant experience, technical or functional qualifications, clearance eligibility, compensation, availability, and overall fit.
- Present qualified candidates to hiring teams and coordinate interviews, follow-up, and candidate communication throughout the recruiting process.
- Maintain accurate candidate records, notes, and statuses within the ATS and other recruiting systems.
- Support recruiting market research, talent availability assessments, and compensation benchmarking as needed.
- Manage multiple high-priority requisitions while delivering a responsive and professional candidate and hiring manager experience.
Requirements
- 3+ years of recruiting, sourcing, or talent acquisition experience
- Federal government contracting recruiting experience
- Demonstrated experience independently sourcing, screening, and submitting qualified candidates
- Experience sourcing technical and IT professionals
- Experience recruiting cleared candidates, including Public Trust, Secret, Top Secret, and/or TS/SCI
- Familiarity with DoD, DHS, VA, and/or Federal Civilian customers
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs, Indeed, Workable, or similar recruiting platforms
- Experience supporting proposal recruiting, contract awards, recompetes, and/or incumbent capture
- Familiarity with federal labor categories (LCATs), technical qualifications, education and experience requirements, and clearance requirements
- Strong Boolean search, candidate research, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple recruiting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Benefits
- Salary Range: $50,000 to $70,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including education, experience, qualifications, skills, and applicable contract requirements.
