We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead a project focused on building a portal that simplifies the Medicaid application process. The platform will support multiple types of Medicaid applications, enabling both individual applicants and organizations (such as lawyers, nursing homes, etc.) to apply on behalf of others. By moving the process online, the system will significantly reduce government response times from 45 days to just 24 hours.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality delivery ( up to 3 ).
- Drive technical teams to ensure quality, technical feasibility, and timely execution.
- Oversee scope, timelines, and resources to ensure predictable, on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables. Create and maintain a clear project scope document.
- Identify and prioritize features based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
- Maintain and refine the product backlog, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and readiness for development.
- Oversee and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Work under tight deadlines, making informed trade-off decisions between scope, resources, and timelines to deliver optimal business outcomes.
- Facilitate effective communication between business and technical teams to ensure alignment.
- Monitor project progress, risks, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies when necessary.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, preferably in the SaaS or software development industry.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Strong product mindset with the ability to prioritize initiatives based on value and strategic alignment.
- Technical background.
- Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects with tight constraints - on time and within budget.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in government, healthcare, or public services digital transformation projects.
- Knowledge of Medicaid or similar benefits programs.
- Hands-on experience with Python and React is a strong plus.
