Technical Project Manager

Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Technical Project Manager to work for our company.

Summary: 

This role supports the Defense Logistics Agency by managing complex cloud and ERP-related projects, particularly involving Oracle EBS. It requires strong technical understanding of cloud platforms, leadership of cross-functional technical teams, and end-to-end project management from planning through delivery and closeout. Key responsibilities include managing schedules, resources, risks, issues, documentation, change control, stakeholder coordination, Agile team collaboration, governance reviews, quality improvement, and identifying opportunities to deliver additional customer value.

Requirements:

• Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government PUBLIC TRUST / SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Must have a BA or BS degree OR 4 additional years of experience in lieu of BA or BS degree.
• 7+ years of relevant experience with Oracle financial applications. 
• 7+ years of Project Management experience with progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector, specifically within IT and/or consulting fields. 
• Applies a strong technical understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and public cloud platforms as they relate to supporting an enterprise ERP like Oracle EBS. 
• Leads cross-functional teams (including infrastructure engineering, operations, and other technical disciplines) through the project lifecycle. 
• Manage projects from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, delivery, and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities across technical and functional teams.
• Establish project priorities and ensure team members understand objectives, responsibilities, deadlines, and expected outcomes.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, staffing, quality, and overall performance.
• Identify, document, track, and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and action items.
• Develop mitigation and contingency plans for significant project risks.
• Proactively identify potential schedule or delivery problems and coordinate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contracts, finance, recruiting, security, HR, and other corporate functions as necessary.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, resources, and requirements through established change-control processes.
• Ensure project documentation is complete, current, accurate, and properly maintained.
• Support quality management and continuous process improvement activities.
• Coordinate with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Technical Leads, Architects, and Agile teams when projects utilize Agile delivery methodologies.
• Participate in customer reviews, program management reviews, technical reviews, and other governance activities.
• Support identification of opportunities for additional customer value, process improvement, and project growth.

Preferred:

• Experience supporting Federal Oracle shared service providers on an Oracle EBS R12.2 platform or higher is required. 
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, with essential expertise in Oracle EBS. Experience with SAP is a plus.
