Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for developing and managing cross functional, technology led, or product focused programs. Manages budgets and interfaces with contractors, suppliers, customers and internal functions.

  • Manages program resource and budget allocation/integration. Manages schedule, budget, and tollgate process for NPI, requisition, or sustaining programs. Influences the programs to meet customer CTQs.

  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.

  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience, analytical thinking and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations, arrive on decisions and manage stakeholder expectations.

  • Mentors junior colleagues.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

  • 5 or more years relevant engineering work experience in a medical device or hardware organization in a product development or installed based support role or equivalent.

  • Understanding of engineering product development processes for medical devices and hardware product development.

  • Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs and help cross functional teams prioritize work to meet the program deliverables.

Desired Characteristics
  • Master's degree in engineering or related discipline from an accredited university or college

  • 5 or more years of experience in project management leading a cross functional team.

  • Global project management experience.

  • Experience with deploying Agile framework for project management

  • Established project management skills and certified Program Management Professional (PMP)

  • Knowledge of UL/ETL/IEC standards and how they apply to designs.

  • Working knowledge of GE HealthCare tools and processes.

  • Understanding of engineering product development processes for medical devices.
