The role:

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to support the Finance and Controllership organization in delivering system enhancements, process improvements, and technology-enabled initiatives. This role bridges the gap between finance operations and technical teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with manage multiple work-streams, coordinate stakeholders, and apply structured project management practices to drive execution and measurable results.

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing initiatives that enhance the systems and processes supporting Finance and Controllership. Working with minimal oversight, this role partners with Finance, Accounting, and Technology teams to gather requirements, develop project plans, and ensure deliverables meet business needs. They apply knowledge of finance operations, ERP systems, and integration points to coordinate cross-functional work, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks. The Technical Project Manager also drives communication, reporting, and documentation to keep stakeholders informed and aligned. By combining strong organizational skills with technical and business acumen, they help ensure initiatives deliver efficiency, accuracy, and control improvements across the finance ecosystem.

What you’ll do:

Program Leadership

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex finance technology and process improvement initiatives across multiple teams.
  • Define scope, objectives, milestones, and success metrics aligned to business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee large-scale initiatives, leveraging JIRA for program planning, tracking, and visibility.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Finance, Controllership, Technology, Product, and Compliance to translate business needs into actionable project plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities, manage dependencies, and drive alignment with timelines and deliverables.
  • Use JIRA to manage backlogs, track dependencies, and provide transparency across teams.

Technical & Domain Expertise

  • Apply strong knowledge of financial technologies, risk management, and digital banking to ensure technical feasibility and scalability.
  • Support teams through technical and operational challenges, ensuring adherence to best practices in development, security, and compliance.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for program activities, engaging executives, external partners, and regulators.
  • Provide clear communication of progress, risks, and next steps, and support testing, validation, and adoption activities.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain program documentation, including charters, plans, dashboards, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Track program health and outcomes using KPIs and JIRA reporting.
  • Conduct retrospectives to drive continuous improvement in program management 
What you'll need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of technical program management experience
  • Proven track record of leading complex, multi-year fintech projects from inception to delivery.
  • Strong understanding of finance operations, accounting processes, and internal controls.
  • Skilled in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
  • Experience using project management tools, with JIRA required.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced startup or corporate fintech environment
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
