Technical Program Manager, FinTech - Engineering PMO
Cloudflare has embarked on a transformation of our entire quote to cash process.
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Technical Program Manager to work with leads to transform FinTech portfolio of projects.
Your main responsibility will be to work cross functionally across Product, Engineering, Design, Revenue Ops, Finance, BI, external vendors, and more to plan and execute on the overall strategy.
You will play an active part in collecting requirements, setting up deliverables, reporting progress, and working with various functions to deliver success. You will partner with various product and engineering counterparts to determine available options, manage stakeholder expectations, and execute against the roadmap.
This job involves managing multiple projects and accommodating teams dispersed across multiple time zones. Your main responsibilities will be partnering with the engineering and product teams to reliably execute against various objectives. You will be partnered with a lead TPM who will guide you through your journey.
The ideal candidate is process driven but remains flexible and iterative, someone who loves to tackle new challenges, really enjoys bringing people together as a team, and driving them towards success.
This position is based in Lisbon, Portugal. You will be reporting into the Engineering Program Management Organization (PMO).
Major areas of responsibilities
  • Organize & Manage Initiatives driven by FinTech Leadership
    • Assist lead TPM in aligning strategy to execution
    • Drive the operations of the NPI (New Product Introduction) process
  • Support Engineering Planning Cycles
    • Organize roadmap and KPI reviews
    • Provide line of sight on capacity/load
    • Manage dependencies and intake
  • Understand technical requirements of products in the Opportunity to Cash lifecycle
  • Effectively balance risk and achieve business objectives
  • Obtain clear requirements, plans, and decisions to proactively tackle critical gaps and mitigate risk
  • Identify gaps and work with senior TPM to roll out of scalable processes to meet product and engineering team goals
  • Set up regular feedback cycles and ensure buy-in from contributors on program plan & roadmap
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and senior management

Desirable skills and knowledge
  • BS+ in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security or related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience in technical program management and a desire for continuous improvement
  • Can create realistic project plans, managing dependencies, and overseeing execution to meet commitments and deliver with predictability
  • Excellent oral and written communication. Ability to read the room
  • Experience working with multiple time zones and multiple cross functional teams
  • Strong competency with Confluence, JIRA (admin-level experience strongly preferred), and various development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Kaizen, Scrum, etc)
  • A mind open to feedback and filled with curiosity, who has successfully gained experience with peers by demonstrating empathy, and self-starter
  • Comfortable managing tight deadlines, changing priorities, and ambiguity.
