Role: Staff/Lead Data Platform Product Manager Reports to: Chief Product Officer
About Infusion
Infusion turns messy bank and credit union data into profitable action for 3,000+ community financial institutions (CFIs). We’re small enough that everyone’s on the first string, big enough to matter, and growing by 10–15 teammates this year.
Your job: architect the data backbone. Build the services that power our next generation of products and tech-enabled services. You’ll be partnering with both your dedicated squad, as well as an existing team maintaining the existing system.
What You’ll Do
Build from scratch. You’ll lead the creation of a new data ingestion and transformation platform. It’s a greenfield build—with a mandate to serve and eventually replace several existing pipelines that normalize, enrich, and connect CORE as well as public regulatory data. Note that this isn’t a redone of existing: The whole process needs to be rethought and reinvented.
Live data portability & integrations. The CORE (ie. FIS, Jack Henry, FiServ) is the backbone of all financial institutions. Your platform will explore, invent and support multiple methods of integration including BYO data, allowing value to be realized in a matter of days, not months.
Invent flexible primitives. Expect to architect a collection of services—not a monolith. The platform should be modular, scalable, and future-ready, built to support diverse data use cases across multiple SaaS products and internal tools.
Respect what works. While you’re building something new, key pieces of our existing taxonomy and normalization logic need to live on. You’ll have access to the teams behind today’s systems, but they won’t dictate what your team builds. It’s yours to own.
Lead a real squad. You’ll have your own dedicated PM–Engineering pod to execute. Think fast demos, weekly iterations, and a clear mandate: ship early, validate, improve.
Own platform success. You’ll be measured by real outcomes:
- Data accuracy and completeness
- Processing time and reliability
- Number of Core/transactional providers supported
- Speed of prospect/customer onboarding
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading 0→1 B2B data platform builds, including highly sensitive PII
- Comfort designing systems that serve internal and external product surfaces
- Expertise in data ingestion, normalization, and transformation pipelines
- Strong collaboration with engineers, data leads, and designers
- Bonus: Experience with banking CORE providers, FFIEC data, or shared metrics models
- Extra credit: You’ve had to manage systems where taxonomy is sacred
Our Values
- Curiosity: continuous learning over static expertise.
- Transparency: no hidden agendas, no surprises.
- Partnership: autonomy with accountability.
- Lagniappe: a small, meaningful extra for customers and colleagues.
Additional Notes
- U.S. only: We cannot sponsor employment visas at this time
- This role is 100% remote, with a US-based engineering squad.
- This role is predominantly internal-facing individual contributor role for at least the first 24 months. Longer term, it can evolve into a broader, platform leadership role.
