The Opportunity:

CACI seeks a Technical Migration Consultant to support the EITaaS program, enabling the Air Force to transition from a base-centric to an enterprise IT service model across 187 bases. The role provides technical expertise, strategic planning, and hands-on support for large-scale IT migrations, ensuring security, compliance, and mission alignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Migration Strategy: Develop and execute migration strategies for systems like Active Directory, servers, and endpoints across 187 bases, assessing infrastructure to identify risks and dependencies.
  • Solution Design: Assist Architects with designing scalable secure migration solutions, leveraging tools like PowerShell and Quest Migration Manager to integrate with enterprise systems (e.g., DNS, DHCP, cloud platforms).
  • Implementation Support: Guide technical teams through migration phases, configuring and testing systems to ensure zero downtime, and resolving complex issues with Tier 3 support.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure migrations meet DoD standards (e.g., STIGs, NIST 800-53) by implementing secure configurations and conducting vulnerability assessments.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams and Air Force leadership to align migration efforts, delivering clear technical briefings and status reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
  • Documentation & Training: Create SOPs, technical plans, and training materials to support migration execution and user adoption, ensuring accurate deliverables per contract requirements.
  • Vendor & Technology Evaluation: Collaborate with vendors to procure migration solutions and evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, Azure) through proof-of-concept tests for EITaaS integration. 

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Active Secret clearance
  • DoD 8140 compliant (ex: Security+)
  • 10+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience).

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$98,500-$206,800
