The Technical Lead, Cloud will provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship for complex customer projects, ensure technical excellence, and promote continuous learning within the team.
As a Technical Lead, you will provide high-level technical guidance and leadership driving technical excellence across projects. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to mentor team members, establish technical standards, and serve as the senior technical authority for complex customer engagements, while actively contributing hands-on technical work.
This is a senior technical leadership role with a utilization target focused on technical excellence and mentorship.
This position is 100% remote.
- Serve as the senior technical authority and escalation point for complex technical challenges across customer projects
- Provide architectural guidance and technical direction to Solutions Architects and Engineers within the Pod
- Establish and enforce technical standards, best practices, and quality gates for project deliverables
- Conduct technical design reviews and provide recommendations for optimization and improvement
- Lead technical spike investigations and proof-of-concept development for emerging technologies
- Mentor Solutions Architects and Engineers on advanced technical concepts, patterns, and industry best practices
- Facilitate technical knowledge sharing sessions and conduct technical training workshops
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical innovation within the Pod
- Act as senior technical consultant on the most complex and strategic customer engagements
- Lead technical discussions with customer technical teams and senior stakeholders
- Provide expert-level technical recommendations and solution validation
- Serve as technical escalation point for critical customer issues and complex problem resolution
- Participate in technical due diligence and solution validation activities
- Review and validate technical estimates, approaches, and implementation plans
- Work with Delivery Manager to coordinate intra and inter-Pod activities and resource sharing and allocations
- Coordinate with Deliver Manager on team resource assignments for client accounts
- Participate in proposal review process to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility
- Ensure adherence to Mission Excellence Standards and technical quality benchmarks
- Identify and mitigate technical risks across multiple concurrent projects
- Collaborate with Project Managers to provide technical insights on project planning and execution
- Drive technical alignment across cross-functional teams
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and their applicability to customer solutions
- Contribute to the development of technical frameworks, accelerators, and reusable components
- Provide input on technical tool selection and technology roadmap planning
- Champion adoption of new technologies and methodologies that enhance delivery capabilities
- Extensive experience providing technical leadership and mentorship to technical teams
- Proven track record of leading complex technical implementations and architecture decisions
- Experience in technical customer-facing consulting roles with senior stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and vice versa
- Expert-level experience in core AWS Architecture, including design for scalability, resiliency, and security, mastery of AWS best practice
- Experience working in an agile environment with CI/CD pipelines and automation (build, test, performance)
- Knowledge of AWS Well Architected Framework and architecture best practices
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, automation, configuration management, and orchestration
- Experience with containerization technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, ECS/EKS
- Experience with core AWS services and advanced service integration patterns
- Strong background in migration and modernization, including legacy system migration strategies
- Deep understanding of the interaction between Software Engineering and Architecture, a strong understanding of how products are developed and able to understand system integration from front to back end
- Deep proficiency with AWS core services
- Scripting language expertise
- Deep understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks for architecture and data
- Deep understanding of DevOps best practices
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional Certification (required within 6 months of employment)
- Additional AWS Specialty Certifications preferred
- Commitment to maintaining current technical knowledge and industry certifications
- Excellent technical communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Placement within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and ability as evaluated during the interview process. The compensation range for the base salary of this role is: $125,000 - $187,000
