Job Description:
Join our team as a Technical Program Manager and play a pivotal role in modernizing engineering lab operations, managed services, and lab solutions. You will lead programs that enhance lab efficiency, reliability, and scalability—driving continuous improvement and operational excellence in a dynamic, fast-paced technology environment. This role is deeply data-driven, where operational analytics, insights, dashboards, and visualization are critical to success.
You will design and define the program responsible for the development and rollout of a centralized lab infrastructure reservation system, ensuring coordinated planning, stakeholder alignment, and operational readiness. You will also program-manage the rollout of engineering lab managed services and lab solutions, leveraging HPE Hybrid Cloud products and virtualization technologies, enabling the organization to “drink our own champagne.” This role requires close partnership with lab software engineering teams, strong cross-functional leadership, and strategic vendor engagement.
As a trusted lieutenant to the Director, you will orchestrate key initiatives, drive modernization across engineering labs, and lead the Management of Change (MoC) necessary for successful adoption of new systems, services, and operational models.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Designs and defines the program responsible for the development and rollout of a centralized reservation system for lab compute, storage, and networking infrastructure. Program-manages the rollout of engineering lab managed services and lab solutions, ensuring broad stakeholder alignment and high-quality delivery across engineering organizations.
Leads the design and execution of a Management of Change (MoC) program to ensure stakeholder communication, awareness, readiness, and adoption of new systems, services, and processes.
Defines, tracks, and communicates operational metrics, dashboards, and KPIs supporting transparency and data-driven decisions.
Works closely with lab software engineers to plan, coordinate, and integrate automation frameworks, provisioning workflows, and lab management services.
Serves as the lieutenant to the Director, providing leadership leverage and driving strategy, execution, and operational clarity across the team.
Manages vendor relationships delivering lab infrastructure solutions and managed services; evaluates capabilities and ensures alignment with organizational strategy.
Leads multi-functional programs for engineering development and implementation across products and service offerings.
Directs program strategy, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk planning.
Communicates program progress, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders; drives continuous improvement in processes and operational models.
Integrates new technologies, automation capabilities, and innovation into engineering lab operations and managed service offerings.
Reviews program plans for compliance with standards and provides actionable feedback.
Mentors and guides less-experienced staff members.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.- PMP/PMI certification preferred.
Typically 10+ years of experience.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Experience designing and developing project and program planning tools and software packages to manage and track project results.
Proficiency with Confluence and JIRA for documentation, workflow management, and program visibility.
Experience with SmartSheets for program planning and dashboards (optional / preferred)
Knowledge of lab automation, including orchestration systems, provisioning workflows, infrastructure scheduling, and integration with lab services.
Experience building and managing dashboards for operational metrics, KPIs, program health, and utilization using Power BI, SmartSheets, or similar tools.
Knowledge and/or experience with Management of Change (MoC) methodologies supporting rollout of new systems, processes, managed services, and solutions.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated business acumen and successful leadership of cross-business unit programs, including vendor-delivered managed services.
History of innovation in technical or operational processes.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
Ability to communicate program plans, architectures, and results effectively and negotiate options at business-unit levels.
