Location: Remote – United States 
Duration: 12 weeks - cohorts starting in May or June (37.5 hours per week)

2026 Summer Intern Program – Tax Research 
This program offers hands-on experience across multiple departments in Tax Research. This group is great for students passionate about tax law, compliance, and technology. Our Tax Research teams ensure that our products are up to date with the latest tax rates, regulations, and compliance requirements worldwide. The internship program includes comprehensive orientation, networking events, career guidance, and collaborative projects. 

Roles and Responsibilities 
As a Tax Research Summer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience with tax complexities, data acquisition, jurisdictional research, and database updates, while auditing tax rates, supporting project execution, and utilizing Vertex software tools to contribute to product success. Interns will join one of the following teams, completing meaningful projects that align with key business initiatives: 

  • Indirect Tax Compliance and Research 
  • Tax Research Global Returns International Tax 

What We’re Looking For 

  • Current students pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Math or other Business-related field. 

  • Strong interest in tax law, compliance, and/or the intersection of tax and technology. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel), with strong organizational and analytical skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with core business hours on the East Coast (HQ - King of Prussia, PA)

Pay Transparency Statement:

US Base Salary Range: $22.00 - $24.00

Base pay offered to new hires may vary based upon factors including relevant industry and job-related skills and experience, geographic location, and business needs.* The range displayed does not encompass the full potential of the role, which allows for further growth and career progression.

In addition, as a part of our total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Vertex Bonus Plan (VOB), a role-specific sales commission/bonus, and/or equity grants.
