Tax Manager

Role

We are hiring a Tax Manager to join our tax team and support a growing, PE-backed platform company. This hands-on role will focus on day-to-day compliance, tax planning, tax reporting, and process improvement across our US and international footprint. The ideal candidate will Bring strong technical skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

This role is fully remote within the US, with a preference for candidates based in the Midwest (time zone overlap with the tax team).

What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with the Head of Tax in tax planning and special projects initiatives.
  • Support all aspects of federal, state, and international income tax compliance
  • Assist with ASC 740 tax provision review and future in-house preparation
  • Coordinate with external advisors on return filings, technical analyses, and tax audits.
  • Support transfer pricing analysis and documentation
  • Monitor tax law changes and support the Head of Tax in assessing business impacts.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and automation projects across the tax function
  • Provide support for M&A tax due diligence and integration activities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, accounting, and legal teams on tax-related matters

What You Bring

  • 5–8 years of relevant corporate tax experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting (Big 4 or Tier 2) and in-house exposure
  • Strong technical knowledge of US federal and state income tax, international tax, and transfer pricing familiarity
  • Solid understanding of ASC 740 and corporate tax compliance cycles
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Comfortable managing multiple workstreams in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with a proactive, hands-on approach

Nice To Haves

  • Big Four and/or Tier 2 experience
  • CPA/CFA or equivalent foreign certification preferred
  • IPO readiness experience, SOX controls, and implementation experience are a plus

Compensation
  • Base Pay Range: $150K - $175K + equity
