About the Role
Salary: $150K - $160K
The Tax Analyst Manager will report to our VP of Tax Development and help manage the overall tax operations of the organization, ensuring accurate project alignment, people management, and strategic planning. This position requires strong leadership to oversee the distribution of tax analysis processes, manage the team's collaborations with other functions, and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making. Comfortability working with a global team is important to be successful.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all tax projects to ensure compliance deadlines and deliverables are met
- Partner with relevant stakeholders to ensure proper tax analysis engagement
- Conduct adequate research and apply technical expertise to complex issues
- Coach, develop, and motivate their team
- Support recruiting, retention, and team building efforts for new team members
- Provide insights on new developments and changes to the individual tax code
- Manage a team of skilled tax analyst with varying responsibilities including: translating federal and state tax forms, simplifying tax concepts and owning multiple state filing experiences
Experience
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, taxation or a related field is required; an EA, or equivalent advanced degree is preferred
- 5-7 years of progressive tax management experience, the managerial role having been specifically within the saas or technology sector
- Excellent analytical, technical, and technology skills with proficiency in excel, and tax compliance
- Experience working with international teams – is a plus
