BPM is seeking a Flowthrough Tax Manager with strong State and Local Tax (SALT) experience to join our growing team. This role will oversee and manage complex tax research projects across a wide range of clients and industries. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in partnership taxation, multistate compliance, and SALT planning strategies. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality client service and ensure technical accuracy. You have (requirements):
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in public accounting with an emphasis in Flowthrough Tax and SALT.
- BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Licensed CPA required.
- The ability to oversee complex tax research projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries.
- Able to manage multiple complex projects and deliver in a timely manner.
- Ability or interest in generating and building business, ability to delegate work and manage staff.
- Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience mentoring and training more junior level team members.
You will (job responsibilities):
- Maintain and develop client relationships as primary client contact on all tax compliance and consulting matters.
- Provide tax compliance and consulting to a diverse base of Flowthrough and SALT clients in a variety of industries.
- Work with clients to minimize their federal, state, and local tax liability.
- Deliver and develop innovative financial planning ideas that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Oversee complex tax research projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries.
- Develop recommendations and implement plans for clients and team members.
- Develop and motivate tax associates by reviewing their work and providing them with counseling, leadership and career guidance.
