About the role

LangChain is scaling quickly, and we need a recruiting engine that not only keeps up but helps pave the way. We’re looking for a Talent Systems & Recruiting Automation Lead to design and operate the systems that power hiring across the company.

This role owns the architecture of our recruiting machine — ATS workflows, automation, recruiting data infrastructure, and the operating rhythms that keep hiring on track. Your job is to eliminate manual work, design intelligent recruiting workflows, and enable our team to hire exceptional talent faster. You’ll also evolve our Recruiting Coordination function into a high-leverage operations team that owns workflow execution, automation, and candidate experience across the hiring funnel.

Responsibilities:
  • Build the Recruiting Systems Architecture: Own the design and evolution of our recruiting tech stack, including ATS workflows (Ashby), sourcing tools, integrations, and automation layers that power our hiring engine.

  • Drive Recruiting Automation: Identify repetitive or manual recruiting work and eliminate it through automation, AI tooling, and workflow design.

  • Design Hiring Workflows: Build scalable hiring workflows that improve recruiter velocity, increase signal in the hiring process, and create a consistent candidate experience across the company.

  • Build the Recruiting Data Layer: Develop dashboards and reporting systems that provide real-time visibility into pipeline health, recruiter throughput, hiring velocity, and funnel performance. Use data to proactively diagnose and solve bottlenecks.

  • Run the Hiring Operating Rhythm: Design and run weekly hiring reviews that translate recruiting data into clear actions for hiring managers and recruiting partners.

  • Develop the Recruiting Coordination Function: Lead and develop the Recruiting Coordination team, evolving the role from scheduling-focused work to workflow, automation, and candidate experience ownership.

Requirements:
  • Systems Builder: You have experience designing and implementing recruiting systems, ATS workflows, and operational infrastructure that scale hiring teams.

  • Automation Mindset: You instinctively look for repetitive work and eliminate it through automation, integrations, and AI tools.

  • Data-Driven Operator: You use recruiting data as a diagnostic tool to understand pipeline health, forecast hiring progress, and identify systemic bottlenecks.

  • Workflow Architect: You have built or redesigned recruiting workflows that improved hiring velocity, recruiter productivity, or candidate experience.

  • Builder in High-Growth Environments: You thrive in fast-moving environments and are comfortable building systems before perfect answers exist.

  • Strong Cross-Functional Partner: You can influence recruiters, hiring managers, and leadership using data and clear operational thinking.

  • Leadership: You have experience developing recruiting coordinators or operations team members and helping them grow into high-leverage operators.

  • Experience working with Ashby.

  • Experience integrating recruiting tools and systems via APIs or automation platforms.

  • Familiarity with AI tools applied to recruiting workflows.

  • Experience supporting scaling organizations.

Compensation & Benefits
  • We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, meaningful equity, and benefits such as health and dental coverage, flexible vacation, a 401(k) plan, and life insurance. Actual compensation will vary based on role, level, and location. For team members in the EU and UK, we provide locally competitive benefits aligned with regional norms and regulations.

  • Annual salary range: $150,000 - $200,000
