The Opportunity
As a Talent Acquisition Partner (Mid-Level), you will be pivotal in attracting and hiring top talent to support our member-focused mission. You'll advise hiring managers, implement fair and data-driven hiring processes, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience that reflects USAA's core values. Focusing on passive sourcing and full-cycle recruiting, you'll use innovative techniques and technologies. Collaborating with hiring leaders and stakeholders, you'll understand talent needs and execute effective recruitment strategies.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week.
This position will be based in the Tampa, FL office location.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:Identifies and builds community partnerships to generate candidates in alignment with the organization's hiring and program objectives.
Create and implement innovative sourcing strategies to proactively build a talent pipeline for current and future openings.
Handle the full recruiting lifecycle, using a variety of modern recruitment methods.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to build strong community networks, particularly in support of our military, diversity, and college hiring initiatives.
Provide timely follow-up to all candidates and maintain accurate, real-time updates in our Applicant Tracking System (Workday), maintaining compliance with all regulations.
Craft compelling job postings from defined job descriptions, showcasing USAA and attracting top talent.
Maintain consistent, high-quality communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
Negotiate salaries within the approved range, balancing candidate needs with company fiscal responsibility.
Forecast and handle the talent pool to meet workforce plans and hiring goals.
Collaborate with hiring managers and colleagues throughout the recruiting process, maintaining compliance with all internal and external regulations.
Build robust candidate pools by using your technical expertise to identify effective sourcing and networking strategies.
Collaborate with hiring leaders and internal partners to proactively understand business needs and develop effective hiring strategies.
Serve as a valuable resource and mentor to team members.
Apply your knowledge of HR principles, particularly employment law, policies, and procedures, to ensure standard methodologies.
Ensure business activities are conducted with a focus on identifying, measuring, monitoring, and controlling risks according to established policies.
What you have:
Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
4 years of progressive work experience in staffing, general human resources, and/or account relationship management, to include knowledge of applicable employment laws.
Demonstrates understanding of recruiting methods and standard methodologies.
Knowledge of applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Demonstrates knowledge and application of effective screening and interviewing techniques.
Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products and other software to support sourcing tools and techniques.
What sets you apart:
At least 2 years in full-cycle recruitment, ideally in a corporate or search firm environment, including expertise in passive sourcing, screening, interviewing and offer negotiation.
At least 1 year of experience in building and implementing innovative sourcing strategies using a variety of tools and platforms including Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
At least 1 year of experience using AI-powered recruiting tools to enhance sourcing and screening efforts.
Use of data analytics and reporting tools to track key recruiting metrics and inform decision-making.
Experience with Workday Recruiting module.
Certification in recruiting or human resources (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, AIRS CIR).
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $85,040.00 - $162,550.00.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
