POSITION SUMMARY
Armstrong Transport Group (ATG) is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to strategically lead the Talent Acquisition function. This role combines hands-on team leadership with systems ownership: you will manage and coach a team of recruiters while designing, configuring, and continuously improving the ATS environment — including pipelines, sourcing/CRM workflows, requisition and approval processes, scorecards, reporting, and integrations with UKG Ready and other HR systems. You will be the primary architect of how ATG attracts, tracks, and converts talent across a national workforce.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Team Leadership
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of recruiters, setting clear goals, hiring plans, and performance expectations.
- Partner with hiring managers and People Operations team members across departments to forecast hiring needs and prioritize open requisitions.
- Own recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness, pipeline conversion) and report performance to HR leadership.
- Build and maintain scalable, repeatable recruiting processes for both standard roles and high-volume or hard-to-fill positions.
Executive & Corporate Recruiting
- Serve as the lead recruiter for director-level and above roles within the organization, managing these searches personally from intake through offer.
- Partner directly with senior leadership and executive stakeholders on role scoping, candidate slates, and offer a strategy for these searches.
ATS Build-Out
- Lead the end-to-end build-out of the Applicant Tracking System, including candidate sourcing pools, nurture campaigns, and talent pipelines.
- Design and configure job templates, pipeline stages, interview kits, scorecards, approval workflows, and offer processes within the ATS.
- Establish data standards, tagging conventions, and reporting dashboards so recruiting data stays clean, consistent, and actionable.
- Manage the integration and data flow between the ATS and other systems, ensuring accurate handoff from requisition through onboarding.
- Evaluate and configure sourcing and CRM add-ons (e.g., outreach/sequencing tools, career site integration, job board syndication) to strengthen the candidate pipeline.
- Serve as the internal subject-matter expert and admin for the ATS and LinkedIn Recruiter, managing user permissions, system updates, and vendor relationship.
Process & Compliance
- Ensure recruiting workflows support compliance with EEO/OFCCP recordkeeping and multi-state employment requirements.
- Standardize interview and evaluation practices to promote structured, consistent, and equitable hiring decisions.
- Document CRM/ATS configuration, SOPs, and training materials, and train hiring managers and recruiters on system use.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years of talent acquisition experience, including at least 2 years in a recruiting leadership or team-lead capacity.
- Hands-on Greenhouse administration experience is strongly preferred — building pipelines, CRM/sourcing workflows, scorecards, and reporting, not just using the tool as an end user.
- Experience owning or significantly configuring an ATS/CRM implementation or migration is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with HRIS/payroll platforms (UKG Ready experience preferred) and how recruiting data flows into onboarding and payroll.
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable building recruiting dashboards and translating data into process improvements.
- Experience recruiting across a multi-state or distributed workforce; logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry experience is a plus.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence hiring managers and executive stakeholders.
WHY ATG
