The Opportunity:
Are you ready to apply your expertise in software development to help shape the future of mission-critical systems? Join our dynamic team in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge mission management applications.  As a systems engineer on this program, you'll collaborate with multiple product teams and immerse yourself in modern development practices, working within an Agile framework to modernize mission management systems for our customers. Some Continental US and international travel may be required up to 10% as well as surge support.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary on-site technical support resource for end users by providing hands-on troubleshooting, issue resolution, and operational assistance.
  • Act as the liaison between end users, operators, stakeholders, and the engineering/development teams by gathering, clarifying, and communicating technical issues, operational impacts, and user requirements.
  • Work directly with users and stakeholders to identify, characterize, reproduce, and document software, workstation, and system issues.
  • Support the systems engineering lifecycle including technical planning, CONOPS development, requirements analysis, system integration, verification and validation, deployment support, training, and operational sustainment.
  • Assist with software and system testing activities, including development and execution of test plans, test cases, regression testing, and validation procedures mapped to system and software requirements.
  • Conduct engineering and operational testing of new software features to analyze, diagnose, isolate, document, and track system anomalies, discrepancies, and failures.
  • Support software deployments and fielding activities by validating functionality, assisting users during rollout activities, and helping ensure successful operational integration.
  • Provide detailed operational feedback to developers regarding usability concerns, recurring issues, system performance, and end-user workflows to improve overall system functionality and user experience.
  • Gather, analyze, and report system and server performance metrics to support troubleshooting, system health monitoring, and operational assessments.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of training materials, operational documentation, test procedures, and support artifacts as needed.
  • Report preliminary operational issues, site impacts, and system concerns to the appropriate engineering and factory support teams for further analysis and resolution.
     

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • 5+ years of experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field.
  • Must have a current TS/SCI and the ability to obtained and maintain the required polygraph per customer requirements.
  • Knowledge of commonly-used systems engineering or test concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Experience in the verification and validation of software systems.
  • Strong communication skills, analytical/problem solving ability, time management and organizational skills.

Desired:

  • Experience performing requirements and user needs analysis
  • Troubleshooting software on UNIX/Linux OS
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) processes, policies and guidance
  • Scripting proficiency (bash, python, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and related experience

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$90,300 - 189,600 USD
