Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Operations Engineer to manage and support a broad range of critical IT systems and technologies. This role focuses on IT infrastructure, SaaS and SSO management, and endpoint management across platforms such as OKTA, Intune/JAMF, Windows Servers, and Microsoft O365.
As a key member of the team, you will act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and mentor Help Desk staff, fostering best practices and the adoption of new tools and processes. You’ll also collaborate closely with the InfoSec team to investigate security incidents, lead patching efforts, and contribute to maintaining a secure, compliant IT environment.
A Day in the Life
- Manage various systems and technologies, including: OKTA, MDM (Intune/JAMF), Windows Servers, and Microsoft O365.
- Serve as an escalation point for difficult issues and mentor Help Desk personnel on best practices and new technologies.
- Collaborate closely with the InfoSec team to investigate security breaches and provide guidance and execution on patching.
Role Progression
- Within 1 month, you’ll: Understand the company, our business and where this role fits into the team. You will be starting to learn about technology and where specifically you will plug in. You will develop a viewpoint on the importance of security that will impact your decisions and approach in future work.
- Within 3 months, you’ll:Be responsible for AWS based systems You will be the tech lead on multiple technologies (e.g. operations, security, etc.) and act on these on a daily, weekly, as needed basis. You will be in the on-call rotation and respond to triage and resolve systems issues.
- Within 6 months, you'll:Attain your AWS SysOps certification (if you do not have it yet) and focus on growing your skills on technologies used by DevOps through hands on real-world daily work.

- Experience working in SOC2 cloud-based environments
- 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency with Active Directory and Entra ID (formerly Azure AD)
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and managing Microsoft O365
- Familiarity with OKTA
- Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell preferred)
- SSL/TLS Administration and Management
- Intune experience
- AWS experience
