The Business Technology department is responsible for managing the enterprise infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security across hybrid environments. The team leverages cloud platforms, automation, and best practices to optimize business operations.

We are seeking a Systems Operations Architect to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our hybrid enterprise infrastructure. This role involves managing enterprise systems, cloud platforms, automation, monitoring, and disaster recovery solutions while ensuring operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader who fosters innovation, mentors team members, and enhances overall system reliability. This role will be responsible for the comprehensive solution design and deployment. A successful candidate will provide the strategic perspective on all Risepoint solutions, current and future and advise the business on which options to pursue. This role involves ensuring that systems are scalable, secure, and efficient, while also aligning with business goals and requirements. Microsoft 355 Certifications required (Fundamentals and Administrator Expert)

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Systems Architecture & Design: Lead end-to-end lifecycle management of critical systems, from conceptual design to integration and optimization. Standardize and refine architecture, documentation, and operating procedures. Create comprehensive IT architecture models that integrate seamlessly with the organization's operations.

  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee Windows, Linux, and Mac ecosystems; manage virtualization platforms and cloud network components. Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Intune, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.

  • Automation & Cloud Services: Develop and implement automation strategies using PowerShell, Python. Design scalable solutions leveraging cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, and GCP)

  • Networking & DNS Management: Administer and maintain DNS records, ensuring accurate name resolution and domain management across internal and external environments. Oversee cloud networking in AWS and Azure, including VPCs, VNets, subnets, peering, firewalls, and routing configurations. Troubleshoot network and DNS-related issues and optimize connectivity, security, and performance.

  • Monitoring, Backup & Disaster Recovery: Utilize advanced monitoring tools to maintain system health and ensure proactive issue resolution. Lead backup strategy and conduct disaster recovery tests.

  • Technical Support & Mentorship: Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues. Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.

  • Operational Excellence & Security: Drive continuous improvements in system performance, security, and operational efficiency. Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with IT policies.

  • Project Work: Lead and contribute to IT projects, such as cloud migrations, system upgrades, and infrastructure optimizations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Work closely with stakeholders to understand and document system requirements.

  • On-Call & Incident Response: Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support when necessary. Ensure timely resolution of critical system incidents. Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Additional Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, automation, and security

  • Licenses & Certifications: Relevant to cloud services and automation preferred; ITIL or related certifications: Change management and incident response preferred

Skills/Knowledge /Abilities:

  • Windows/Linux Administration Advanced Required

  • Microsoft O365 Management (A certified SME) Advanced Required

  • Cloud Management (AWS andAzure) Advanced Required

  • Cloud Management (GCP) Intermediate Required

  • Scripting & Automation(PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Ansible) Advanced Required

  • Network & Security

  • Fundamentals Advanced Required

  • Monitoring Tools (e.g New Relic, Pingdom, CloudWatch) Advanced Required

  • Backup & Disaster Recovery Intermediate Required

  • Incident Response & On-call
