ABOUT THE JOB

We are hiring a Senior / Lead Systems Engineer to join at the early development stage of a Group 5 autonomous aircraft. You will:
  • Shape customer needs into air vehicle and subsystem requirements in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop System Engineering artifacts, including system model, to trace from stakeholder inputs through design in a digital thread. Incorporate input from system safety, software engineering, and other disciplines to shape system architecture.
  • Lead program team through systems engineering reviews including System Requirements Review, and Preliminary Design review, and Critical Design Review.
  • Communicate and manage program risks in conjunction with Chief Engineer and Program Management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • B.S. in aerospace, mechanical, electrical or similar engineering or technical field
  • 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience across all stages of program lifecycles.
  • Experience leading systems engineering efforts on developmental programs.
  • MUST have direct aircraft experience in systems engineering (air vehicle systems, mission systems)
  • Very comfortable owning full systems architecture
  • Experienced gathering thorough requirements, and CONOPs development
  • Decent understanding of Cameo and MBSE
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Active Top Secret clearance
    • Must be a U.S. Person because of required access to U.S. export controlled information.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated High ownership and autonomy across the end-to-end systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Experience with aircraft development programs from early concept through test.
  • Experience with military aviation, either operationally or in design, development or testing.
  • Local to our HQ in Costa Mesa, CA
    • Open to remote, with expectation of traveling to spend about 25% of time at HQ
US Salary Range
$154,000$231,000 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
