JOB SUMMARY:

This position is for a Systems Analyst who will be working with the Regional Applications Fellow, the Regional Applications Analysts team and the software development teams; and other tasks assigned by the Regional Applications leadership. Requires ability and willingness to travel between the Development Sites (Colorado Springs, CO, and Huntsville, AL) and the Test Bed (CTB) at Schriever SFB. 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Responsible for performing analysis, root cause troubleshooting, and technical support of systems software products, including problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support
  • Interfaces with other product teams to resolve problems, setup simulation scenarios to trigger behaviors, and improve the overall efficiency of the system
  • Must be able to frequently switch between high-priority tasks
  • Understand very complex algorithms related to missile defense command and control, IR sensors, and radar concepts
  • Experience in Agile Scrum Environments
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings to all audiences, including technical subject matter experts and senior leaders

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Must possess an understanding of systems and software engineering process, principles and lifecycles
  • Experience performing data analysis on complex algorithms for performance, behavior, and functionality, and presenting analysis results to software engineers, product owners, senior program leaders, and customer representatives
  • Demonstrated proficiency using spreadsheets, databases, tools, and/or Linux command line to perform hands-on data analysis
  • Ability to develop tools and log parsers to assist with analysis to support hands-on analysis and automated analysis reports in a configuration managed shared toolbox; MATLAB, Bash, Java, Python, etc.
  • Ability to reading and understand Java, C++, and/or Fortran code
  • Experience with DOORS, JIRA, Confluence, or other project management tools
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with missile defense battle management, intercept engagements, space domain awareness, and command & control systems
    • Familiarity with GIT, Linux command line, CI/CD pipelines, sensor tracking, ICDs, spatial coordinate frames and conversions
    • Prior experience creating analysis plans and analyzing large data sets using statistical and time series analysis
    • Applicants should have a good working knowledge of MS Office products
    • Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasks is highly desirable

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree with 5 years of experience, or Masters with 3 years of experience

LOCATION: Full Time/ On-Site in Colorado Springs, CO

CLEARANCE REQUIRMENT: Secret

SALARY RANGE: $100,000 to $122,000

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
