About The Role:
Expression is seeking a Network Engineer to provide enterprise-level engineering and operational support for the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) under the ISCOM Division. This individual will help design, implement, and maintain complex network systems, support vendor and stakeholder coordination, and ensure the integrity, security, and availability of NTIA’s enterprise networks. The Network Engineer will support the team advancing NTIA’s mission through proactive monitoring, and hands-on engagement with LAN, MAN, and WAN environments.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support on enterprise network operations.
- Support the design and implementation of secure and resilient network systems to meet mission requirements.
- Troubleshoot and help resolve complex performance issues across LAN, MAN, and WAN environments.
- Conduct network traffic analysis and provide capacity planning recommendations.
- Monitor and respond to hardware, software, and control facility issues to ensure uptime.
- Collaborate with team and vendor support services to escalate and resolve outages or degraded performance.
- Manage procurement, testing, installation, and support of network communications infrastructure.
- Perform system-level design and configuration, including hardware, operating systems, and platform specifications.
- Run quality assurance reviews
- Monitor network operations, including telecommunications, LAN/MAN/WAN administration, and system security activities.
- Conduct regular network audits, upgrades, and expansions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in network engineering.
- Experience supporting enterprise LAN/MAN/WAN systems.
- Knowledge of network performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively.
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance required (U.S. Citizenship required)
Preferred Experience:
- Certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
- Prior experience supporting NTIA, Department of Commerce, or other federal civilian agencies.
- Familiarity with network security policies and federal IT compliance standards.
