The System Business Analyst will analyze business needs, collaborate with stakeholders, document requirements, improve processes, and support project documentation.
ELEKS Business Analysis Office is looking for a System Business Analyst in Canada.
REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of experience in business analysis within IT or digital transformation projects
- Experience working on midsize or large projects involving cross-functional teams
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Experience conducting requirements elicitation sessions and familiarity with various elicitation techniques
- Strong skills in gathering, structuring, and managing business and functional requirements
- Ability to select appropriate requirements organization and modeling approaches depending on project context
- Ability to understand the broader business context, structure the analysis approach, and progressively refine requirements
- Ability to work independently, manage stakeholder communication effectively, and take ownership of the business analysis process
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic project environments with evolving requirements
- Experience describing and analyzing business processes; familiarity with BPMN or other process modeling approaches
- Proficiency in common productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and other collaboration tools
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced level of English
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and analyze business needs, objectives, and drivers for change
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand expectations and translate business needs into clear and actionable requirements
- Elicit requirements using various business analysis techniques such as interviews, workshops, document analysis, process analysis, and other collaborative methods
- Analyze information gathered from different stakeholders, resolve inconsistencies, and break down high-level requirements into detailed specifications
- Document, structure, and prioritize business and functional requirements aligned with project goals and stakeholder expectations
- Identify opportunities for improving business processes, workflows, or system functionality
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across business and technical teams
- Support coordination of business analysis activities within the project and contribute to alignment across project participants
- Share knowledge and support less experienced team members when needed
- Contribute to continuous improvement of business analysis practices, templates, and documentation standards
- Support the development and maintenance of project documentation and requirements artifacts
- Participate in reviews and quality checks of requirements and related project documentation
