What you’ll do

Our Performance & Technology (P&T) team is seeking a Vice President to help companies unlock value at critical inflection points—whether navigating growth, complexity, or turnaround situations. We work across a variety of industries delivering hands-on impact in procurement, operations, supply chain, and transformation initiatives.

In this role, you will focus on sourcing and procurement, working directly with client executives to shape strategy and lead implementation of cost-reduction and capability-building initiatives. You’ll help clients rethink category strategies, run sourcing events, and lead negotiations—all while embedding best-in-class procurement practices and delivering measurable savings.

You’ll be driving change and delivering results in dynamic and often high-pressure environments. You’ll collaborate across functions and levels—working not just in procurement, but across the broader value chain, including operations, supply planning, and supply network optimization.

This is an opportunity to grow quickly and be part of a fast-paced, high-impact team that values analytical depth, problem solving, and the ability to lead.

This description is not designed to encompass a comprehensive listing of required activities, duties or responsibilities.

What you’ll need

Supply Chain Qualifications

  • Master’s degree with a focus on Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Operations, or related fields.

  • Strong sourcing and procurement experience, ideally including direct supplier negotiations and savings delivery across multiple levers (technical, commercial, demand management).

  • Proven track record leading sourcing projects from opportunity identification through to execution, including:

    • Designing sourcing strategies and implementation roadmaps

    • Executing RFx events, leading negotiations, and delivering cost savings

    • Collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and finance teams

  • Experience with direct materials sourcing is a plus.

  • Exposure to procurement transformation programs, capability building, or operating model redesign.

  • Experience in logistics and transportation management, including carrier negotiations, route optimization, and freight cost reduction.

  • Background in warehouse operations, layout design, and inventory control systems to improve throughput and reduce holding costs.

  • Proven ability to lead shipping and distribution strategy, including last-mile delivery and global trade compliance.

  • Hands-on experience with inventory management, demand forecasting, and replenishment planning.

  • Familiarity with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes, integrating supply chain, finance, and commercial functions to align business goals.

  • Exposure to infrastructure planning, including network design, facility expansion, and technology enablement (e.g., WMS, TMS).

  • Demonstrated success in large-scale supply chain transformations, including digital enablement, process redesign, and change management across global organizations.

Additional Qualifications

  • Background in Business, Engineering, or Finance preferred

  • A blend of consulting and/or industry experience—ideally in sectors like consumer goods, retail, industrials, automotive, or technology.

  • Analytical depth and financial acumen to build business cases and challenge the status quo.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex organizations.

  • High degree of initiative, ownership, and resilience in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

  • Willingness to work in client-facing settings and travel when required.

  • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, and in particular as unique projects/needs arise.

  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday

  • Must become familiar with, and promote and abide by, our Core Values as defined by the AlixPartners’ Code of Conduct and foster an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization
