Position Overview
This is both a technical and functional role performed under limited to moderate supervision, involving extensive data analysis, SAP execution, and the development of effective internal relationships. The position requires a high level of self-discipline to ensure productivity, efficiency, and timely task completion. Travel is required up to 10% annually, with potential for higher activity during project-specific periods. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs may be needed for sample management or interdepartmental handoffs.
What you'll do
- Represents the Supply Chain on cross functional project teams to manage product introductions, engineering changes, phase outs, plant moves and other projects
- Links Product Management, Sourcing, Distribution, Logistics, Supply and Demand teams as needed. May involve Customers directly.
- Understands areas of risk and is the advanced warning signal, providing specific situation and solutions to all levels of management
- Creates and executes project plans which meet overall company objectives and specific project goals
- Required to work on sensitive topics, possibly requiring Non-Disclosure Agreements
- Challenges the project and team members on timing, impact and goal achievement
- Determines the logistic, distribution and operational consequences of proposed plan changes and related actions on project or program level
- Manages the workflow, execution and timeliness of New Product Buyer(s) to meet project needs
- Needs to be comfortable representing real constraints in the face of pressure, while understanding constraints which can be creatively worked around
- Cross functional groups you will interact with Project Management (Product, Corporate), R&D / Engineering, Trade Compliance, Marketing Communications, Quality, Operations, Demand and Supply Planning, Master Data Governance, Purchasing / Sourcing, Leadership, various levels

- Organization – Can establish priorities and course of action for managing multiple tasks in time critical situations under pressure.
- Resilience – Maintains effectiveness and a positive attitude in the face of setbacks, time demands, priority changes or rejection.
- Cooperation – Works well with others, takes time to help internal suppliers and co-workers achieve their objectives and goals.
- Experience – Requires 5+ years of various Supply Chain and/or Operations experience. Preferably across several departments as to understand the various requirements of a multi phased Project.
- Software Competency – Must be fluent in standard Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word. SAP experience not required but strongly preferred. Google Suite proficiency required.
