Type: Full-Time | Remote | Local Travel
Build the Future of U.S. Manufacturing
At Fictiv, we’re on a mission to make manufacturing faster, smarter, and more reliable. As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) in the Pacific Northwest, you’ll help make that happen by partnering directly with local suppliers to elevate quality and performance.
You’ll work 100% remotely, but this isn’t a behind-the-desk role — it’s about building relationships and driving impact where it matters most: on the manufacturing floor. That’s why we’re seeking someone who lives in the Seattle, Portland, or Spokane area and understands what makes the region’s supply base tick.
Please note: We can only consider U.S. citizens or valid Green Card holders for this position.
What You’ll Do
- Drive Quality Excellence: Visit local suppliers to evaluate capability, strengthen processes, and ensure consistent on-time, high-quality delivery.
- Develop Partners, Not Just Suppliers: Coach manufacturing partners to build quality into their processes — not just inspect for it at the end.
- Lead Problem Solving: Guide suppliers through root cause analysis and corrective actions that prevent repeat issues.
- Elevate the Network: Use Fictiv’s maturity models and scorecards to drive measurable improvement across multiple partners.
- Be the Voice of the Customer: Represent customer expectations and ensure supplier performance aligns with our world-class standards.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience working with suppliers, preferably in mechanical parts or components
- Proven success improving supplier quality and performance through strong relationships and accountability
- Experience applying ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality management systems
- Skilled in root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and data-based decision-making
- Comfortable working independently in the field and communicating effectively across remote teams
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Remote Flexibility, Local Impact – Enjoy full remote flexibility while engaging directly with manufacturing partners in your region.
- Mission-Driven Work – Help U.S. manufacturers achieve new levels of quality and innovation.
- Autonomy + Collaboration – Operate independently in the field, supported by a collaborative global quality and sourcing team.
- Competitive Pay & Growth – Salary range: $95,000 – $125,000, depending on experience.
About the Role
This is a remote but highly field-driven position. Travel will be focused primarily within the Seattle, Portland, and Spokane metro areas, with occasional U.S. trips as needed. Candidates must reside in one of these markets to be considered.
