Position Summary
The Supervisor, Accounts Payable manages the end-to-end payment and accounts payable process for Horizon Media’s affiliate companies. The role is responsible for the day-to-day AP function for our growing portfolio of affiliate companies, ensuring payments are processed accurately and on time and maintaining vendor relationships.
Responsibilities will include:
- Payment Execution & Management:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation and workflow of the Accounts Payable function for affiliate companies.
- Ensure the timely and accurate execution of weekly payment batches, with a focus on transitioning vendors to ACH.
- Review submitted invoices for accuracy and confirmation prior to posting
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex payment issues, such as vendor data discrepancies, rejected payments, and compliance flags.
- Vendor Relations & Support:
- Serve as the primary escalation point for all vendor payment inquiries from affiliate companies.
- Manage the affiliate AP inquiry mailbox to ensure timely responses and issue resolution.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key affiliate vendors by providing responsive and professional support.
- Work proactively with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and communicate payment status.
- Other:
- Identify and assist in implementing continuous improvements to the affiliate accounts payable process.
- Administer and maintain the integrity of the accounts payable system for assigned affiliates
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis of affiliate expenditures as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable environment.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity is strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of full-cycle Accounts Payable processes, including vendor setup, invoice processing, and payment execution.
- Hands-on experience with major ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving complex payment and vendor issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-service oriented approach to working with both internal teams and external vendors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Salary Range
$75,000.00 - $95,000.00A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual’s skill sets, experience, training, education, licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role.
