You'll own the full subcontract lifecycle — from RFP through closeout — on government and defense programs. You're fluent in FAR/DFARS, comfortable negotiating with suppliers, and sharp enough to keep procurement files audit-ready while supporting fast-moving program teams.
YOU WILL
Pre-Award
- Support make/buy decisions and sourcing strategies
- Prepare RFPs, RFQs, and bid packages
- Evaluate supplier proposals, pricing, and terms
- Conduct price and cost analyses
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, SOWs, and terms & conditions
- Draft and execute subcontracts and purchase agreements
Post-Award
- Administer subcontract performance and manage changes, modifications, and funding updates
- Monitor supplier compliance with technical, quality, and schedule requirements
- Resolve contractual issues and disputes
- Support program management teams on supplier performance matters
- Coordinate across engineering, quality, supply chain, finance, and legal
Compliance
- Flow down applicable prime contract requirements to subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR, and CPSR requirements
- Maintain procurement files and audit-ready documentation
Requirements
YOU HAVE:
- 3–7 years of experience in government contracting, aerospace/defense, or procurement
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Contracts Management, Finance, Economics, or Engineering
- Working knowledge of FAR Parts 12, 15, 16, 31, 44, and 52; DFARS clauses
- Experience with cost-reimbursement, fixed-price, and T&M contract types
- Hands-on experience with contract lifecycle management tools — SAP, Costpoint (Deltek), NetSuite, or Oracle a plus
- Strong negotiation skills across pricing, T&Cs, and change orders
- Ability to manage dozens of active subcontracts and track deliverables, funding, and compliance deadlines
- Clear communicator — comfortable with suppliers, program managers, engineers, and government customers alike

- NCMA certification (CFCM, CPCM, or CCCM)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or PMP
- Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
- Advanced Excel and proposal evaluation skills
