Responsibilities include monthly reporting of KPI metrics, analysis of supplier financial trending, presenting opportunities to leadership, and much more.
The Impact
As a Strategic Consultant on our team, you will be responsible for:
- Understand expense drivers with our third-party supplier space with focus on cost containment.
- Create and support the supplier management strategy for Underwriting and Claims.
- Assist with special studies for management in areas such as the organization's operational effectiveness, capacity utilization, and operating cost containment.
- Trending, vetting, tracking and execution of process improvement opportunities with suppliers.
- Building a strong understanding of our operational and performance metrics.
- Commitment to professional development: adaptable to change; open to both receiving and providing feedback in a constructive manner; makes changes in behavior based on feedback and/or experience.
- Collaborating with Claims and Underwriting leadership, internal and external business partners to achieve business objectives.
- Supporting and executing vendor management initiatives.
- Working closely with our Project Implementation teams.
- Contributing to a winning culture of accountability, collaboration and resiliency.
Minimum Qualifications
- College degree required or 4+ years of equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of data analytics experience
- 2+ years' experience influencing and negotiating with key stakeholders at all levels
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding the end to end lifecycle of Underwriting
- Prior experience with 3rd party suppliers and working with contracts.
- Strong business, technical, and financial acumen
- Ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders at all levels within the organization
- Ability to drive collaboration across multiple organizations and to work with key partners
- Position requires an extremely organized, detail-oriented individual who is capable of self-managing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex information clearly and appropriately handle sensitive information.
- Proven ability to hold open, candid and transparent critical conversations at all levels.
