Purpose
Johnson & Johnson Medtech is seeking a Strategic Capital Director who will drive capital initiatives and strategies within the medical device sector. This position requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in medical devices, capital acquisition, and negotiation within Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN) and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic capital plans that align with J&J Medtech's goals.
- Lead negotiations with IDNs and GPOs to secure favorable capital agreements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovative solutions and enhance operational efficiencies.
- Analyze market trends and financial data to inform decision-making and investment strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem.
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance overall team performance.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the medical device industry.
- At least 5 years of experience in capital acquisition or management roles.
- A minimum of 2 years working with and negotiating within the IDN/GPO landscape.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of capital budgeting and financial modeling.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of strategic planning and execution.
- Ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience managing cross-functional teams.
- In-depth knowledge of orthopaedic products, procedures, and enabling technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory environments and compliance in medical devices.
- Experience in a global healthcare environment.

- Ability to travel as needed (approximately 20-30%).

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $146,000 to $251,850.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.

- Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year
- Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year
- Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year
- Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
