Boomi is seeking Strategic Business Development professionals (located within North America) for future opportunities, as we continue to build out our Strategic M&A function. In this role, you will be responsible for developing alliances and strategic partnerships to accelerate the Boomi business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Corporate Development, Strategy, or Strategic within the SaaS industry, coupled with exceptional strategic thinking and program management skills and a proven ability to drive successful outcomes.

What you'll do:

  • Strategic Partnership Development: Lead the identification and cultivation of strategic partnerships with key industry players, technology providers, and other stakeholders to enhance our product offerings and market reach
  • Alliance Evaluation: Evaluate potential alliances, joint ventures, and collaborations to assess alignment with business goals, market opportunities, and competitive landscape
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, marketing, sales, and finance teams to align partnership strategies with overall business objectives and ensure successful execution
  • Negotiation and Deal Structuring: Drive negotiations and develop partnership agreements that create mutual value and drive revenue growth for the company
  • Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and potential partnership opportunities that will contribute to the company's growth strategy
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partners, industry influencers, and stakeholders to facilitate productive collaborations and alliances
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Establish metrics to measure partnership performance and success, and provide regular reporting and updates to senior management

The experience you bring:

  • Proven track record of at least 8 years in strategic business development, Corporate Development, or related roles within the SaaS industry 
  • Deep understanding of SaaS business models, market dynamics, and technology trends
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility with external partners and internal stakeholders
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving complex projects to successful outcomes

Bonus points if you have:

  • Prior experience in private-equity or public SaaS companies
  • Ability to develop and present effective executive-level communications
  • MBA
