Who We Are:
At Synapse Health, we're streamlining the durable medical equipment (DME) process. We manage intake, documentation, routing, claims, billing, and patient support. Our model reshapes how DME is delivered and experienced.
Since 2016, with decades of industry and leadership experience, we've delivered tech-based solutions that help our partners to modernize operations, improve coordination, and reduce administrative burdens. By taking on operational and financial complexity, we're redefining how DME works for providers, prescribers, and patients. We are proud to offer work that matters, on a mission that matters.

What We Need:
The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for driving supplier performance, partnership health, and operational alignment across a portfolio of strategic DME provider partners. This role serves as the primary owner of supplier accountability, governance, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring providers successfully operate within Synapse Health’s model while delivering consistent patient and payor outcomes.
As a trusted partner to our providers, the Strategic Account Executive works cross-functionally across Synapse Health to drive consistent supplier performance, operational reliability, and partnership effectiveness. This role blends account management, operational coordination, and strategic problem-solving to drive strong outcomes for both customers and Synapse Health.
What You Will Do:
- Own and manage a portfolio of strategic DME provider accounts, building trusted, long-term relationships with distributors and resellers across the subcontracted network.
- Influence account performance, retention, and growth through supplier engagement, performance management, and identification of expansion opportunities.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, goals, and challenges, translating those insights into proactive solutions and recommendations.
- Grow existing relationships by continuously identifying opportunities to expand services, improve performance, and align Synapse Health solutions to customer objectives.
- Serve as the primary Point of Contact between DME provider partners and internal teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and timely follow-through.
- Own supplier performance discussions, corrective actions, and escalation leadership, ensuring structural issues are resolved and accountability is maintained.
- Continuously assess supplier performance trends, risks, and systemic gaps, driving preventative interventions and performance improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Implementation, Billing, Finance, Growth, Client Services, Contracting, and Technology teams to support account success and drive operational improvements.
- Review, manage, and maintain client contracts, pricing sheets, and account documentation in partnership with Contracting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and retention
- Prepare and deliver regular account reporting, including progress updates, forecasts, and performance metrics, for both internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Identify recurring operational friction, failure patterns, and scalability barriers, and drive cross-functional process improvements that enhance supplier performance and patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate flexibility and ownership by supporting additional initiatives and responsibilities aligned with team and organizational goals.
What You Have:
At Synapse Health, we’ve intentionally built a culture rooted in kindness, collaboration, and creativity, qualities we consider essential for every team member. Additional requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3–5 years of experience in the healthcare industry, with a strong preference for experience in a DME environment supporting supplier/provider workflows, or post-acute care environments involving documentation, fulfillment, and billing complexity.
- Proven success managing and growing strategic accounts, ideally in a consultative capacity focused on continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret operational and performance data, synthesize insights, and translate findings into actionable business discussions.
- Comfort engaging with supplier leadership and executives in performance, accountability, and strategy-oriented conversations.
- Experience operating in high-growth, rapidly evolving environments with shifting priorities and imperfect structure strongly preferred.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn role-specific systems and tools.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels—from frontline teams to executive leadership.
- Analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to inform decisions and drive outcomes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
What Sets You Apart:
- Consultative Mindset & Executive Presence
Able to engage supplier partners as a trusted advisor rather than a transactional account manager. Comfortable leading performance, accountability, and problem-solving discussions with stakeholders at all levels, including senior and executive audiences. - Process Improvement Orientation
Naturally identifies operational friction, recurring failure patterns, and scalability barriers. Thinks in systems and workflows, proactively driving structured improvements rather than repeatedly addressing isolated issues. - Data-Driven Decision Making
Demonstrates the ability to interpret performance and operational data, identify meaningful trends, and translate insights into actionable discussions, priorities, and corrective actions. - Operational Discipline & Organization
Highly organized and structured in managing accounts, initiatives, and competing priorities. Relies on systems, frameworks, and tracking mechanisms rather than memory, enabling consistent execution in a fast-paced environment. - High-Growth Adaptability & Resilience
Thrives in high-growth, rapidly evolving environments with shifting priorities, imperfect structure, and continuous change. Maintains effectiveness, judgment, and composure amid ambiguity and operational volatility. - Ownership & Bias for Action
Proactively drives issues, decisions, and follow-through without excessive oversight. Maintains momentum across cross-functional stakeholders and supplier partners, particularly in ambiguous or rapidly changing situations.
