Job Description:

Harper is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Account Executive to drive revenue growth and expand our market presence. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in selling complex infrastructure software solutions to large enterprise organizations. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new opportunities within target enterprise accounts.
  • Strategically prospect into CTOs, Engineering/IT Leaders, & technical end users
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, resulting in growth opportunities
  • Conduct in-depth discovery to understand customer pain points and develop tailored solutions.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate target accounts and achieve sales quotas.
  • Collaborate with marketing, engineering and other internal teams to deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations.
  • Negotiate and close complex sales deals, managing the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the overall sales strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Experience selling complex data / infrastructure software or other developer technology 
  • Minimum of 4 years of successful enterprise sales experience selling complex software solutions.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas and achieving revenue goals.
  • Deep understanding of the enterprise sales cycle and ability to manage complex sales processes.
  • Ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise technology
  • Skilled in building business champions
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales enablement tools.
  • Driven and competitive. Possess a strong desire to be successful

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Previous Sales Methodology training (e.g. MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger Sales)
  • Familiarity with database, caching, and CDN technologies

Salary Range: $130,000 base + commission (OTE $250,000 - $270,000)

  2. Hiring Manager Call - 30 minute Zoom call to get into the details of the role and experience 
  3. Role Specific Call - 30 minute Zoom call with a member of the team 
  4. Panel Interview - 60 minute Zoom call to discuss a predetermined agenda around sales process and understanding of Harper's products with a panel of employees
  5. Founder Interview - 30 minute Zoom call with our founders as a final round
