The salary range for this role, based in Dallas, is $128,160.00 to $160,200.00. The range will vary if outside of this location.  Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Position Summary

At Pernod Ricard USA, we have accelerated and transformed our organization around experiences of conviviality, placing the consumer at the heart of our business model.  The State Manager, NADL plays an important role in our mission to drive the success of our NADL (North American Distillers) portfolio across our entire customer base.

In summary, the State Manager, NADL plays a leadership role in driving and enabling our distributors, customers and Pernod selling teams to execute our plans to grow our NADL portfolio (TX Whiskey, Jefferson’s, Skrewball, Rabbit Hole and Smooth Ambler) and beat the market in assigned state(s).  This role is accountable for driving the performance of all channels in a state(s).  The State Manager is a key contributor to State-level pricing execution, S&OP forecasting, transformational initiatives, joint executional planning, and the AOP.  The successful candidate is data-driven and highly capable of utilizing digital tools, platforms, and channels to drive State-level strategy, decision-making, and business opportunities.

This position reports directly to the Area Vice President.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Enable, Support and Drive execution against NADL portfolio plans and programs in designated state:

  • Work with TX Whiskey / NADL leadership teams to discuss current business updates, challenges and opportunities.

  • Drive and enable TX Whiskey / NADL priorities and opportunities through PRUSA and distributor commercial teams.

  • Planning, Communication, Execution and Measuring TX Whiskey/NADL priorities and initiatives through all trade channels.

  • Support and Enable our TX Whiskey/NADL Global Brand Ambassador in creating trade and consumer brand equity.

  • TX Whiskey Local Sponsorship / Partnerships: Vetting, building, supporting and activating local sponsorships and partnerships.

  • TX Whiskey / NADL Barrel Programs: Consulting on customization and market opportunity; and execute commercially.

  • Local POS & Tools Development: Liaison with brand and channel shopper team for custom market opportunities.

  • Call point for the TX Whiskey Duty Free business in Houston and DFW, with support from PRUSA Travel Retail team.

  • Drive Distributor execution of programming while working within the context of Market’s AOP.

  • Ensure data-driven decision making in assigned State through the utilization of data dashboards. Effectively utilize the data meet market goals, as well as to regularly track and inform Distributors of progress against goals.

  • Utilize educational materials to educate Distributors on PR USA portfolio.

  • Collaborate with Distributors, Field Marketing, and Customer Development Team (as applicable).

  • Conduct “work withs” with distributor and PR USA field and Customer Development team (as applicable) to ensure compliance and keep abreast of distributor practices and customer trends.

Support and Drive NADL planning, communication and execution:

  • Contribute to the development of the market AOP and joint executional planning, specifically setting State priorities, channel plans KPI / ROI expectations.

  • Contribute to State-level transformation initiatives.

  • Support State A&P and LMF within guardrails defined Finance / S&OP.

  • Collect State / Channel insights and disseminate them via Field Marketing to support broader planning processes (i.e. channel plans, field marketing, etc.).

  • Cross collaboration with National Account and Regional Chain teams to drive in-market execution

Leverage the TX Whiskey Ranch to drive greater stakeholder and brand engagement and equity:

  • Host, plan and support ongoing Customer, Distributor and Trade personnel education training and experiences.

  • Work with TX Whiskey hospitality team for special events (i.e. Trade, Distributor or Customer, etc.).

  • Collaborate with TX Whiskey commercial and operations staff for TX Whiskey Ranch and market opportunities.

  • Additional responsibilities related to our TX Whiskey brand home as we leverage this property for more localized commercial and marketing opportunities.

Job Requirements

  • 7–10 years of experience in a sales leadership role, preferably in wine, spirits, or consumer goods.

  • Strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Proven ability to drive strategy, manage distributor relationships, and lead cross-functional teams.

  • Experience using digital tools and data to inform business decisions.

  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.
