Job Description

The IT Support Intern will assist the IT team in providing technical support for Windows, Apple, and Android environments, as well as VoIP systems. Tasks include learning and helping with maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, imaging, and integration of third-party and in-house applications. Interns will gain hands-on experience resolving computer-related, mobile device, printer/MFP, and telephony issues for Starz offices and remote employees. Support requests are managed via phone, email, and in- person interactions under supervision, with a focus on learning documentation and tracking processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learn and assist in diagnosing Apple, Android, telephony, A/V, and video conferencing hardware and software issues.
  • Provide customer service while improving time management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support IT team efforts to log, diagnose, and resolve or escalate service requests, ensuring established SLA standards are met.
  • Assist with imaging and re-imaging devices, including proper configuration and deployment.
  • Document technical problems and solutions in call logging software under supervision.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
Current enrollment or recent graduation in a degree program related to Audio Visual, Technical Communications, Computer Science, or similar fields.
Basic understanding of Windows, Mac, and Android operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and IT networking principles.
A demonstrated interest in learning technical troubleshooting and working in a collaborative environment.
Any experience with hardware/software installation or troubleshooting (e.g., personal projects, coursework, or internships) is a plus.

Compensation Data
The pay rate for this internship is $27/hr.

  • The STARZ Summer 2026 Internship program dates are: June 15, 2026 – August 21, 2026
  • All interns are required to attend orientation on Monday, June 15, 2026.
     

Details

  • Regular business hours are 9 AM – 6 PM Monday-Thursday and Friday 9 AM – 1 PM
  • Interns must not work more than 36 hours per week
  • Interns must be enrolled in a college or university and classified as rising juniors or seniors
  • Interns must be available to work for the entire length of the program
  • All internships are paid
