Staff Software Engineer with Convera USA LLC (Denver, CO)

Expectations of the Role

  • Candidate should be able to work with an engineering team with broad responsibilities across all aspects of software engineering including requirements understanding and verification, solution design and detailed design, software development, software testing, software configuration management and more.
  • Lead architecture development efforts using a comprehensive architecture diagram, optimized, well structured, and easy-to-maintain products, systems and services that have a meaningful impact on end users.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders both on-shore and off-shore and deliver service level agreements.
  • Create future vision architecture for faster delivery process including traceability of business and IT strategy to suggested technologies.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Requires progressive, post-Bachelor’s related experience (5 years with Bachelor’s or 3 years with Master’s), which must include some experience in each of the following skills:
    • Microservices and event driven architecture.
    • Architectural and design products with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Java.
    • Core Java, J2EE, Spring, API’S, SOA, SOAP, REST, Apache Camel, Netflix Hystrix, Hibernate, JPA, Lombok, JXL, and Apache POI.
    • Container Orchestration: Docker, OpenShift, and Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
    • Database: Oracle 12, MySQL 5.x, REDIS, and Elastic Search (ELK) 4.x - 6.x.
    • Messaging Brokers: ActiveMQ, Kafka 8.x, 10.x, Zookeeper, and WebMethods Broker 8.x - 9.x.
    • Server and Monitoring: Apache Tomcat, WebMethods IS, MWS server, Redhat Fuse, Grafana, Dynatrace, and DataDog.

Salary range: $161,886.00 to $191,850.00 per year.
