The Staff Software Engineer is responsible for all stages of the software development lifecycle using a variety of technologies and tools to build impactful software solutions. The scope of this role includes designing, building, and optimizing comprehensive solutions that prioritize client value and business outcomes while driving the organization’s transformation toward an AI-first future.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end delivery and deployment of major systems and services that are scalable, reliable, and maintainable, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver intelligent, automated solutions that align technology with client value and business outcomes.
Manage and optimize production applications, ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement through AI-enabled DevOps practices.
Foster engineering excellence by leading code reviews, guiding design decisions, and mentoring teams to adopt AI-driven development and data-driven practices.
Drive innovation across products and processes by integrating emerging technologies, methodologies, and AI capabilities that enhance efficiency and impact.
Ensure software quality and performance through rigorous, automated testing and intelligent quality-assurance workflows.
Champion AI adoption by embedding AI tools and practices into daily work to enhance decision-making, streamline operations, and deliver measurable, data-driven outcomes.
Perform other duties as needed to advance the organization’s AI-first vision and evolving business priorities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least 8-12 years of experience
Self-starter with ownership & learning mindset and passion for AI-driven development
5+ years' experience delivering cloud SaaS applications using Python, JavaScript and related frameworks
3+ years in a technical leadership role leading teams designing APIs, distributed processing systems and web applications
2+ years’ experience supporting and managing SaaS applications in production and deep knowledge of CICD, application observability, security and privacy best practices
1+ years' experience building and supporting SaaS applications with Google Cloud services like CloudRun, AlloyDB, Firestore, PubSub, Eventarc, BigQuery, Memorystore etc.
Experience building SaaS applications using event-driven and microservices architectures
Experience writing technical requirements and collaborating with business/product/UX teams on functional requirements
Experience mentoring junior engineers, performing code reviews and developing best practices
Bachelors or master's in computer science or a related field, or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience building developer platforms
Experience delivering AI solutions
Experience designing domain-driven architectures
Healthcare industry experience
Job Expectations:
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed
Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information
Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
