About the Role

Hi, I’m Miloš Haravan, a Senior Software Development Manager at Jane. I’ve been here for just over a year and a half, and I lead the team responsible for the Jane Developer Platform.

Our team builds the platform that makes Jane extensible. We enable third-party technology partners and Jane teams to build integrations and extensions that expand what Jane can do for practitioners and patients. That work is core to Jane’s mission to help the helpers. When we get this right, we help clinics move faster, connect their tools more seamlessly, and spend more time focused on care instead of administration.

We operate at the intersection of product thinking, systems thinking, and enablement. Our customers include practitioners using integrated experiences, technology partners building on Jane, and Jane developers across the company who rely on clear patterns and strong foundations to expose their domains safely and effectively.

A bit about me personally - I care deeply about how teams think, not just what they ship. I’m energized by curiosity, honest conversations, and solving the right problems together. Outside of work, I’m constantly thinking about how systems fit together and how small shifts can unlock big change. You can learn more about my background here:

This role is exciting because it’s not just about building a platform. It’s about shaping how Jane thinks about extensibility, developer experience, and the future of product development, including how we thoughtfully adopt and experiment with AI.

What Impact We’re Looking for You to Make
  • Elevate the Jane Developer Platform by treating it as a product, delivering capabilities that enable partners and Jane teams to build high-quality integrations that create real value for practitioners.

  • Lead with a strong customer outcome focus, balancing the needs of practitioners, technology partners, and internal Jane developers through clear prioritization and systems thinking.

  • Model and scale a solution-oriented mindset across a senior team, helping engineers move from requirements-driven execution to problem-led ownership and decision-making.

  • Drive consistent delivery with accountability, creating momentum through clear goals, thoughtful trade-offs, and a bias toward action.

  • Champion experimentation and adoption of AI across the team and beyond, improving how we build, reason about, and extend Jane’s platform while maintaining a high bar for quality and trust.

What Experience We Need
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant experience building and evolving product platforms, APIs, or developer-facing systems.

  • Proven experience leading senior engineers, influencing technical direction, and setting patterns that scale beyond a single team.

  • Strong product mindset, with experience building platforms as products that enable others rather than delivering end-user experiences directly.

  • Demonstrated systems thinking, ownership, and adaptability, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive meaningful change across teams.

  • Hands-on experience with AI adoption or experimentation, or a clear track record of learning quickly and applying emerging technologies to real customer problems.

If you don’t meet every single qualification but are excited about this role, we’d still love to hear from you.
