Who we are

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale.

Working at Samsara means you’ll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that’s shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, Equipment Monitoring, and Site Visibility. As part of a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term.

About the role:

Samsara is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to build our first vertically-oriented product marketing capability. You will be the expert on a specific customer vertical - understanding the way they serve their own customers, how they hire and manage their teams, the technology that they use, their financial profile, and regulatory context.

You will collaborate closely with partner functions to drive our marketing strategy for your vertical, own and refresh core marketing artifacts, shape industry-specific events strategies, and develop and deliver marketing content. You will spend time on-site with customers, support high-profile deals, and develop sales tools and enablement content. You will share your expertise with product and engineering to help ensure that our roadmap meets the unique needs of your customer base.

This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US.

You should apply if:

  • You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact—helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, reduce emissions, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely.
  • You are the architect of your own career: If you put in the work, this role won’t be your last at Samsara. We set up our employees for success and have built a culture that encourages rapid career development, countless opportunities to experiment and master your craft in a hyper growth environment.
  • You’re energized by our opportunity: The vision we have to digitize large sectors of the global economy requires your full focus and best efforts to bring forth creative, ambitious ideas for our customers.
  • You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together and support each other. You will be surrounded by a high-calibre team that will encourage you to do your best.
In this role, you will:
  • Partner closely with product, engineering, sales teams and leaders to develop and deliver on our product marketing vision and pipeline objectives.
  • Produce scalable materials to end customers and sales that drive core messaging and product awareness and pipeline. These will include website updates, videos, pitch decks, and one-pagers.
  • Gather customer insights and feedback, understand their voice, and integrate it into our messaging and strategy.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to drive enablement tools, training, and materials that empower them to communicate the value of our products to our customers.
  • Share Samsara’s impact by speaking at internal and external events.
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Marketing (B2B SaaS experience preferred)
  • 5+ years experience working with sales and in customer-facing roles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging
  • Strong commercial orientation - excited about being in front of customers, providing critical support and tools to close individual deals, and partnering with marketing to design an effective pipeline generation strategy
  • Strong internal communication and relationship building skills. Proven ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Data driven, with the ability to structure complex analysis and derive insights
  • Able to create clarity out of ambiguity for yourself and others
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
