Omada Health is on a mission to inspire and engage people in lifelong health, one step at a time through products that help people live happier, healthier lives.
Job OverviewAs a Staff Product Designer on Omada’s new care programs and innovation team, you will work closely with product managers, engineers, behavioral researchers, and data scientists to explore, design, prototype, test, and iterate on solutions that help people make lasting changes to their health.
You are not just executing within defined scopes. You help define the problems, shape product direction, and raise the quality bar of what we build. You thrive in ambiguity, proactively advocate for what you need to succeed, and bring a strong point of view grounded in user insight, product thinking, and craft.
You deeply understand and champion our users, designing solutions that are thoughtful, elegant, and effective. You are an expert communicator who can influence partners across disciplines and bring teams along in building high-quality experiences.
Our tight-knit team of designers is obsessed with creating delightful, engaging, and inclusive programs for lifelong health, medical care, and behavior change. We combine behavioral psychology, data science, and user insight to create experiences that are intuitive and impactful across a wide range of users.
As a Staff Product Designer, you will…- Lead experience design across the product, shaping direction, raising the quality bar, and enabling teams to deliver high-craft, cohesive experiences.
- Frame and define the right problems to solve, identifying opportunities across the member and care team experience and influencing product direction.
- Drive the design process end-to-end—from concept through validation, prototyping, and final execution—in fast, iterative cycles.
- Use rapid prototyping to explore ideas, test hypotheses, and make concepts tangible for the team.
- Drive a high bar for craft and interaction quality, delivering consumer-grade experiences with strong visual, interaction, and systems thinking.
- Partner with and influence product, engineering, clinical, and research leaders to shape strategy and drive aligned decisions.
- Translate business strategy, user needs, and clinical insights into compelling product opportunities and solutions.
- Contribute to and improve design systems, processes, and team practices to strengthen a user-centered design organization.
- Design and ship human-centered AI experiences
- Mentor and support other designers, helping elevate the overall quality and impact of the team.
- 8+ years of experience solving complex problems through product design, including 0 to 1 or early-stage product experience where you helped define new products or experiences from the ground up.
- Strong product thinking, with the ability to frame ambiguous problems, define opportunities, and shape product direction, not just execute within it.
- Proven ability to take undefined spaces and turn them into clear concepts, prototypes, and shipped experiences.
- High craft in interaction and visual design, with attention to detail and a strong sense of quality.
- A strong bias toward making, using prototyping to explore ideas, test hypotheses, and drive decisions.
- Experience working with and contributing to design systems.
- Experience designing AI-powered products
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions across teams.
- Experience mentoring and supporting other designers.
- 10+ years of experience in product design
- Experience using AI tools as part of your design and development workflow to explore ideas, prototype, and build. This may include tools such as Figma Make, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar.
- Experience designing for health, wellness, or behavior change
Omada was founded in 2011 out of IDEO, where our founders explored how human-centered design could be applied to chronic health challenges. What began as an internal project grounded in deep user research evolved into a new approach to digital care.
That origin continues to shape how we work today. We place a strong emphasis on understanding real human needs, designing from first principles, and creating experiences that are not only effective, but engaging and thoughtfully crafted.
