Job Duties and Responsibilities
Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session.
As a Staff Technical Product Owner, you will collaborate cross-functionally with the PMO, the architecture team, Business Analysts, and other software application SMEs and teams at Dish to deliver API integration across BSS, OSS, and 3rd party vendors. The ideal candidate is experienced in implementing modern cloud-based platforms and tools and has an entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication skills, and excellent critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Align product vision with business goals and secure stakeholder buy-in on key decisions and strategies.
  • Act as liaison between engineering teams, product stakeholders, and cross-functional groups to drive transparency and alignment.
  • Lead iteration planning, backlog grooming, and user story decomposition to guide development teams with clear deliverables.
  • Manage and track sprints, releases, and cross-team dependencies to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to expectations.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and perform Scrum Master/Product Owner tasks while providing on-the-job training for product owners.
  • Define best practices for service design, data modeling, and product processes, while evangelizing product vision and roadmap.

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Experience and/or Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience
  • 6+ years of experience in enterprise product ownership, driving vision and execution
  • Proven track record in defining, documenting, and managing requirements in enterprise environments
  • Strong background in enterprise software and API integration, with hands-on implementation and delivery expertise

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong technical knowledge of data models, data management, APIs, and system integration
  • Familiarity with enterprise solution architecture principles and OpenAPI specifications
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills with the ability to navigate complex environments as a self-starter
  • Effective communicator with proven experience collaborating across teams, including offshore partners
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or others), API management tools (Apigee), and modern development frameworks (Java, SpringBoot, Node.js)
  • Wireless retail industry experience considered a strong plus

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $137,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
