About the Role
As a Staff Frontend Software Engineer, you will play a key role in architecting and building frontend applications that support all post-bind aspects of our insurance business. This includes claims administration and policy administration systems (PAS). You will be responsible for designing how these separate applications interact and share code efficiently and across our underwriting workbench, establishing patterns for component reuse, state management, and cross-application communication.
In this role, you will architect robust frontend solutions that integrate seamlessly with our backend systems, ensuring a cohesive user experience across our insurance platforms. Your technical leadership will directly impact the scalability, maintainability, and performance of our customer-facing and internal tools.
You will collaborate closely with an experienced cross-functional team, including product management, backend engineering, design, and data engineering, to deliver well-architected frontend solutions that enhance our insurance operations.
What You'll Do
- Architect and implement frontend solutions across claims administration and policy administration systems
- Establish patterns and frameworks for code sharing and reuse across multiple frontend applications
- Design and build intuitive, responsive user interfaces that streamline complex insurance workflows
- Lead technical decisions regarding frontend architecture, state management, and component design
- Develop maintainable and scalable JavaScript/TypeScript code with a focus on performance and user experience
- Collaborate with backend teams to integrate frontend applications with APIs and data services
- Implement testing strategies and quality assurance processes for frontend applications
- Mentor other software engineers, providing technical guidance and code reviews
- Evaluate and recommend frontend technologies and frameworks that align with business goals
- Partner with product and design teams to translate complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions
- Contribute and champion our design system and component library
Requirements

What we're looking for:
- 10+ years of frontend engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Experience serving in an architect role for complex web applications
- Deep understanding of frontend architecture patterns and best practices
- Experience designing systems that enable code sharing across multiple applications
- Strong command of modern frontend build tools, testing frameworks, and deployment practices
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Comfortable in fast-paced environment with Agile values
It's a bonus if you also have:
- Experience working within the supply chain and logistics industry
- Experience working within the insurance industry
- Experience building customer or partner-facing API solutions
- Experience building and deploying vue.js applications
Compensation
Market competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $170,000-$190,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s location, experience, qualifications, and skills.
