Job Description:

Pluralsight is the technology workforce development company that helps teams build better products by knowing more and working better together. Using our Skills product, teams can develop critical skills, improve processes and gain insights through data.

As a Staff Experience Designer at Pluralsight, you will have the opportunity to define and shape our product strategy across our entire platform. You’ll use your deep expertise and knowledge to deliver key business results and mentor other designers to help them grow and develop.

Who you’re committed to being:

  • You take accountability for efficiently scaling efforts and working to support initiatives that have the greatest impact

What you’ll do:

  • Coach and work alongside teams aligned with critical initiatives, and facilitating cross-team collaboration

  • Defining, guiding, and conducting design research activities together with product teams to address key product questions

  • Using strategic and architectural methods, such as IA and OOUX techniques, to develop strong platform-level experience patterns and standards

  • Partnering closely with our design systems and operations team to integrate experience architecture with our interface patterns and design methods

  • Inspiring your teammates to adopt new methods and tools, by anticipating new platforms, media, and techniques and partnering to test and deploy them

  • Showing leadership by example and through the practice of design, and guiding others to deliver a delightful experience across our platform

  • Celebrating team successes and crafting a team culture that is supportive, engaging, empowering, and fun!

Experience you’ll bring:

  • You understand and have practiced the breadth and depth of product design skills and can guide others

  • You are a strong systems thinker who can define and solve complex problems elegantly, while maintaining an adaptable and pragmatic approach

  • You regularly employ IA and OOUX principles and techniques (ideally with a certification in OOUX) to define the right system of relationships and activities

  • You have shown a diplomatic and collaborative leadership style, with an approach based on understanding context and building credibility

  • You are a trusted authority who knows how to harness the power of data, insights, and storytelling to create a compelling case for a specific vision and path forward

Requirements:

  • 8+ years experience in UX Design or 6+ years with and advanced degree

  • Experience leading out on Design Principals to junior to senior staff.

  • This is a remote role; however, applicants located within 45 miles of our Westlake/Dallas, TX office should expect to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays. This approach enables more effective collaboration, quicker decision-making, and a stronger culture, while still providing flexibility.

Why you’ll love working here:

  • We’re mission driven and guided by our culture pillars

  • We have a strong commitment to diversity and belonging

  • We cultivate a culture of trust, autonomy, and collaboration
