About your role
As a Staff Software Engineer on the Workflows squad at Voxel51, you’ll collaborate on the team responsible for supporting the innovative data analysis and workflow features that define Voxel51’s position as the leading tool at the center of the entire machine learning lifecycle. You’ll build clean, scalable UIs, incorporate cutting-edge ML features, and solve unique challenges that arise when working with unstructured and massive datasets (images and video). You’ll mentor other engineers, and help support our culture of learning and growth. And, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a thriving open source community while also emphasizing enterprise-grade engineering for our commercial products.
What you will do
- Help to architect and develop the innovative ML workflows in our web app, supporting everyone from individual researchers to Fortune 500 companies.
- Write production code that is maintainable, flexible, performant, and well tested.
- Elevate the team through mentorship, support, and best practices.
What you should bring
- 7+ years of professional frontend or full-stack software engineering experience developing maintainable and delightful systems. Frontend expertise required, proficiency on the backend ideal.
- BS or MS in computer science or a related field
- Expertise with Typescript/React. Proficiency with Python, a plus.
- Experience maintaining or contributing to open source projects (or the passion to start!)
- Ability to work in a remote-first, collaborative environment
The cash compensation for this person is in the $200K - $240K range. In addition to base comp for this role, we offer equity in the form of options, a variety of benefits, and the opportunity to grow in an exciting and collaborative environment.
